Hi, I’m Maree

To awaken the best of the human spirit in myself, I often need to stretch myself and to do something I’ve never done before. I’ve never done a pilgrimage.  In 2027, I’ve decided to walk in the footsteps of  Mary Magdalene, apostle to the apostles, the female disciple featured in the Last Supper and the woman Jesus truly loved.

We will be drawing on insights from Gnostic scriptures believed to be written by her, in Southern France and the Pyrenees. We will visit sacred sites that have witnessed millennia of prayers, rituals, and human expressions.

We will celebrate the courage of a woman who advocated there need be no interface between a man or woman and their god(s) – at a time when organised religion wanted control.

We will  come face to soul with the Cathars, a mystic medieval group, who believed the same Jesus and Mary Magdalene did; awakening our own divine feminine in a way that feels like both a gentle remembering and immensely significant, all at the same time. This pilgrimage is more than a tour; it’s an inner quest, promising a fusion of historical intrigue and profound spiritual growth.
